Welcome to the Eugene Chess Club

Thanks for visiting!  Whether you are an experienced player looking for a sparring partner, a new player looking to improve your game, or are simply interested in learning more about the game of kings, you’ve found a home at the Eugene Chess Club.

The Eugene Chess Club meets weekly on Tuesdays at 6pm.  

Our standard meeting location for 2026 (see exceptions below) is Bill & Tim's Barbeque and Tap House; located at 201 East 13th Ave, Eugene, OR 97401 (corner of 13th and Pearl). For driving directions, click here.  

But on the last Tuesday of each month, we meet at The Bier Stein, located at 1591 Willamette Street in Eugene.   These dates for 2026 are Jan 27th, Feb 24th, Mar 31st, April 28th, May 26th, June 30th, July 28th, Aug 25th, Sept 29th, Oct 27th, Nov 24th, and Dec 29th.  For driving directions, click here.

Some boards and clocks will be provided.  However, players are asked to please bring their own equipment to ensure enough for all those who wish to play.
